Payments Terms of Service
RUDRALEELA PRIVATE LIMITED — Operating ROMANCHA Version: 1.0 | Effective Date: April 25, 20261. How Payments Work
When you book a stay through Romancha, your payment is processed via Razorpay, India's leading payment gateway. Payment gateway processing fees are borne by the Host as part of their operating costs — you as a guest will never be charged a gateway fee separately.
What you pay as a guest
- Listing Price — set by the host for their accommodation
- GST — government-mandated tax (0%, 5%, or 18% based on the nightly rate)
- No platform fee. No service fee. No booking fee.
Payment is collected at the time of booking confirmation. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed.
2. Host Payouts
2.1 Payout Timing
- For standard stays: Romancha initiates the host's payout within 24 hours of the Guest's verified checkout.
- For long stays (30 nights or more): see the Long Stay Policy for the applicable payout schedule.
- For no-show bookings (guest does not check in without cancelling): payout is initiated within 24 hours of the originally scheduled checkout time.
2.2 Payout Calculation
The Host Payout is calculated as:

2.3 Bank Account Requirements
Hosts must register a valid Indian bank account (account number + IFSC code) in their host dashboard before their first payout. If bank details are missing:
- Romancha will notify the host by email and in-app push.
- The payout is held securely. No interest accrues on held payouts.
- Funds are released within 2 business days of verified bank details being provided.
2.4 Payout Method
All payouts are made by bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS) to the host's registered Indian bank account. International bank accounts are not currently supported.
3. Refunds
3.1 Guest Refunds
Refunds to guests are governed by the Romancha Cancellation Policy and the Rebooking & Refund Policy.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Timeline: 5–10 business days depending on the guest's bank or card issuer. Romancha initiates refunds on our end immediately upon approval — we cannot control the time your bank takes to credit it.
3.2 Circumstances That Trigger a Refund

4. Guest 24-Hour Complaint Window
After completing check-in (as verified by Romancha's geofencing system), guests have 24 hours to raise an issue if:
- Amenities listed are not available or not functioning;
- The accommodation is materially different from the listing;
- There are safety concerns not disclosed in the listing;
- The host is unreachable or has not provided access.
To raise a complaint: go to your booking in the app → "Report Issue" → submit with photos/description. Romancha will investigate and determine appropriate action, which may include a refund or rejection of the complaint.
5. Security Deposits
Romancha does not currently facilitate security deposit collection through the platform. Any security deposit arrangement must be agreed upon and managed directly between the host and guest. Romancha is not liable for any disputes arising from such arrangements.
6. Chargebacks
If a guest raises a chargeback with their card issuer, Romancha will cooperate with Razorpay's dispute resolution process. Where a chargeback is ruled against Romancha:
- The corresponding amount will be recovered from the relevant host's future payouts.
- Romancha will provide the host with advance notice and the opportunity to provide evidence to contest the chargeback.
7. Currency
All transactions on Romancha are in Indian Rupees (₹ INR). International payment methods (foreign credit cards) may be subject to currency conversion by the cardholder's bank — Romancha does not control these rates.

9. Payment Disputes
If you believe there has been an incorrect charge, contact Romancha at support@romancha.in within 30 days of the transaction date. Include your booking reference, the amount in question, and an explanation. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
