Offline Fee Policy

This policy defines what additional charges, if any, hosts may collect from guests outside of what is transacted through the Romancha platform.
Permitted Offline Charges
Hosts may collect the following in cash or direct transfer at check-in or during the stay, provided these charges are clearly disclosed in the Listing:

| Meal charges (not included in Listing Price) | Must be disclosed; rates stated |
| Local guide or vehicle hire (third-party) | Must be clearly marked as third-party |
Prohibited Charges
Hosts may not charge guests for:
- A "local area fee" or any city/locality surcharge not disclosed in the Listing
- Cleaning fees not stated in the Listing at time of booking
- Charges for amenities listed as included (WiFi, parking, AC)
- GST on top of the Listed Price without prior disclosure (note: Romancha handles GST collection from guests)
- Any fee that misrepresents the total cost of the stay
Security Deposits
- Must be stated in the Listing with a specific amount
- Must be returned within 24 hours of Guest checkout if no damage claim is raised
- Disputes over security deposits are handled directly between host and guest — Romancha does not mediate
- Romancha recommends hosts document the property condition at check-in and check-out with photos
Reporting Violations
If a guest is charged an undisclosed fee: go to Bookings → Your Booking → Report Issue → "Unexpected Charge". Romancha will investigate. Confirmed violations result in: refund of the charge (where possible) + warning or suspension of the host's listing.
