Host Privacy Standards
RUDRALEELA PRIVATE LIMITED — Operating ROMANCHA Version: 1.0 | Effective Date: April 25, 2026When a guest books your property, Romancha shares certain personal information about them with you. This policy defines how you must handle that information.
What Information You Receive
Through the platform, you receive the guest's:
- Full name
- Profile photo
- City of origin
- Booking details (dates, number of guests)
- Check-in verification data
After booking confirmation, you may receive:
- Contact information (phone number) for check-in coordination
- Government ID details (for foreign guest registration, where legally required)
What You Must Do
Use it only for the booking. Guest information shared by Romancha must be used solely for fulfilling the confirmed booking — communicating about check-in, assisting during the stay, or complying with legal requirements (FRRO registration). Protect it. Do not store guest information in insecure locations. Do not forward guest information to third parties (neighbours, tour operators, local vendors) without the guest's explicit consent. Delete it after need ends. Once the stay is complete and any required retention period (e.g., foreigner register) has passed, delete the guest's personal information from any local records. Do not build or maintain databases of past guests using Romancha-sourced data. Comply with applicable law. Particularly: the Information Technology Act 2000, Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and any applicable local regulations.What You Must NOT Do
- Contact the guest through non-Romancha channels for marketing purposes
- Share guest contact information with advertisers, tour guides, or any third party without consent
- Use guest data to discriminate in future booking decisions
- Use guest information for any purpose beyond fulfilling the current booking
Surveillance
Hidden cameras are strictly prohibited in any private space (bedroom, bathroom, changing area). Cameras in common areas must be:- Disclosed in your Listing
- Not pointed at private spaces
- Not recording audio without consent
Violations will result in immediate listing removal and potential reporting to authorities.
Foreign Guest Registration
For foreign national guests, Indian law (Registration of Foreigners Act 1939) requires you to:
- Collect passport and visa details
- Report to the local police/FRRO within the required timeframe (typically 24 hours of check-in)
- Maintain a register of foreign guests
This is a legal obligation, not a Romancha policy. Romancha assists by facilitating the collection and storage of this data through the platform.
