Content Policy
RUDRALEELA PRIVATE LIMITED — Operating ROMANCHA Version: 1.0 | Effective Date: April 25, 2026This policy covers the rules for content posted on Romancha — listing photos, descriptions, titles, and any other content submitted by hosts or guests.
Listing Photos
Photos must:
- Accurately represent the property at its current state
- Be taken at the actual property (not stock photos or photos of another property)
- Include the primary spaces: bedroom(s), bathroom(s), common areas
- Be recently taken (within 12 months)
Photos must not:
- Misrepresent the size, amenities, views, or condition of the property
- Show amenities that have been removed or are currently unavailable
- Include obscene, offensive, or misleading content
- Contain watermarks from other platforms or stock photo sites
Romancha reserves the right to remove or request replacement of photos that violate this policy.
Listing Descriptions
Descriptions must:
- Be accurate about what is included in the stay
- State all restrictions clearly (dietary rules, noise policies, guest type)
- Mention any known limitations (limited hot water hours, power cuts in the area)
- Use the platform's primary language (English) for core fields; other Indian languages may be supplementary
Descriptions must not:
- Advertise amenities that are not available
- Include contact information directing guests off-platform (phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, email)
- Contain promotional claims that cannot be verified (e.g., "best homestay in Varanasi")
- Include discriminatory language
Prohibited Content (All Forms)
The following is prohibited in any content on Romancha:
- Sexually explicit material
- Content glorifying violence, terrorism, or illegal activity
- Hate speech based on caste, religion, gender, ethnicity, or any protected characteristic
- Personal data of third parties without consent
Enforcement
Content in violation of this policy will be:
- Removed without prior notice if it violates safety or legal requirements
- Flagged for review if borderline, with a 48-hour cure period for hosts to correct
- Repeated violations lead to escalating consequences (warning → listing suspension → account ban)
